One interactive installation from the Future Spaces Vision Lab accepted to the Art Gallery at SIGGRAPH Asia 2025

Conference | SIGGRAPH Asia 2025

A work titled "VICINO: Generative Expressions of Proximity, Rhythm, and Unspoken Connections" will be exhibited in the Art Gallery program of SIGGRAPH Asia 2025, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong SAR, China.

The installation is created by Bin Cheng, Zi Ye, Haoran Rui, and Mirna Zordan from Southern University of Science and Technology. It explores how touch can rebuild interpersonal connection by transforming participants’ bioelectrical signals and heart rate into evolving trees, rhythms, and particle systems.

Through this living, responsive environment, VICINO invites participants to reflect on how closeness and unspoken connections can be perceived beyond language—through gesture, presence, and embodied interaction.

More details about the work and exhibition schedule are available on the SIGGRAPH Asia 2025 program page.
