Event | Shenzhen: City as Art Laboratory Symposium

Apr 2, 2026

A thought-provoking symposium in Shenzhen brings art, science, and the future of the city into one shared conversation ✨

Event | Shenzhen: City as Art Laboratory Symposium

Our leader, Dr. Mirna Zordan, presented at the City as Art Laboratory Symposium on April 2, 2026, at the Shenzhen GuanShanYue Art Museum. This exciting event marks the launch of the Urban Art & Social Lab (UASL) @ Shenzhen, an innovative initiative designed to bring together art, science, and technology in shaping the cities of the future.

In her talk, Invisible: Presence Matters | Responsive Environments for Human Health: Perceiving the Importance of Life and Presence, Dr. Zordan explored how responsive environments can enhance human well-being by sensing and reacting to physiological data. At the Future Spaces Vision Lab, we’ve been focusing on how spatial design can support both emotional and physical health, and Dr. Zordan will share our latest insights on this.

We are thrilled to be part of this event and to contribute to the conversation about how the integration of art, science, and urban life can create healthier, more dynamic environments for all.
