Resonant Distances in Ars Electronica 2026! ✨✨✨

Exhibition | Ars Electronica Festival 2026

We’re heading to Ars Electronica 2026! ✨ Resonant Distances will join the Ars Electronica Campus Exhibition in Linz, bringing neurotechnology, robotics, and embodied interaction into a shared exploration of human connection.

Developed by the Future Spaces Vision Lab at SUSTech, Resonant Distances asks what connection might look and feel like beyond language. Conceived as a social brain laboratory, the project explores inter-brain synchronization and how empathy, attention, and co-presence can emerge between bodies and technological systems. Its featured work, 0.5–100 Hz, makes neural synchronization visible through the movement of two shape-changing robotic devices—turning invisible relational signals into something spatial, dynamic, and shared.

We’re incredibly excited to bring this work to Linz and join this year’s Ars Electronica conversation around NEGOTIATING HUMANITY. If you’ll be at the festival, come find us at the Campus Exhibition—we’d love to see you there! 🧠🤖💫
